On November 7, the China Automobile Industry Development Forum was held in Shanghai. At the forum, Wang Xia, chairman of the Automobile Industry Branch of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade and chairman of the Chamber of Commerce of the Automobile Industry of the China International Chamber of Commerce, said that he interpreted the opportunities brought by China's new development stage to China's automobile industry from four aspects.
1. China has a more open and high-quality market environment. The investment environment, policy environment, management environment and service environment have become better and better. The environment for sustainable infrastructure and supporting facilities construction is also getting better and better. In 2018, China lifted the restrictions on the proportion of foreign shares in special-purpose vehicles and new energy vehicles, and will fully open to the outside world after 2022. Foreign-funded enterprises have more choices in China's strategy.
2. China's huge domestic demand will continue to be activated, with a population of 1.4 billion and a middle-income population of more than 400 million. The income level of the Chinese people will continue to increase, and the demand for upgrading the consumption of the whole people will continue to release huge market potential.
3. Technological innovation drives the development of new industries. New energy vehicles and intelligent connected vehicles will be the best carriers. China will not close the door to innovation, but will continue to increase the threshold of technological openness. China's new energy vehicles have advantages in infrastructure and communication technology, but also have weaknesses in core areas. Therefore, open cooperation has become a feature of the development of new energy vehicles, and Chinese and foreign automobile enterprises will usher in rare development opportunities.
